Cancellation Policy

When booking directly with the hotel either on the telephone or our own official website we offer a very favourable policy. 
If you book on any online booking sites please refer to your terms on your confirmation email as these are more strict.
Our standard cancellation allows you to cancel your booking with no penalty up to 30 days before your arrival date. Your deposit of the first night will be refunded.
If cancelled after the 30 day deadline we will offer a gift voucher towards a future stay. In the case of a cancellation within 48 hours of check in and non arrival the full amount of the booking will be charged. We recommend all guests to ensure that they have suitable travel insurance in place.

Corona Virus Covid 19 pandemic cancellation amendment

We appreciate that during these times of uncertainty we cannot plan ahead. For the whole of 2020 from opening in July we will offer a free cancellation for any 2020 direct booking made right up to 48 hours before arrival. You will also be able to change your dates or have a gift voucher for a future stay.

Booking Terms

Check In 

Check in is from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm (Direct booking customers) – later check in by prior arrangement.
Please note online travel site customers are only allowed to check in from 3:30 pm until 8:00 pm

Check Out

Check out is 10.00 am on the day of departure. You are welcome to leave bags here until you leave Scarborough.

 

 Parking is on street 

One night stays get a free parking disc from 2:00 pm this covers three hours until restrictions end at 5:00 pm
Two night stays or more get a free parking permit from us which covers the duration of their stay.
Note.. If you re staying two nights or more and want to park up earlier before check in you can just ask for your permit.

Deposits:

A deposit equal to the cost of the first night’s stay to confirm the booking, this deposit will be charged to your card when you book. A booking confirmation will be emailed to you showing the deposit and outstanding balance. Please see our cancellation policy regarding the deposit.

Cancellation and Insurance:

Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is refundable only within our terms and conditions as stated above and also included in your booking confirmation. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. For cancellations within twenty four hours of check in and no show on the day of check in you will be liable for the total amount. For this reason you may wish to take out travel insurance to cover any cancellations.

Non-availability:

We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We may attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Damages and Breakages:

This as our home and we want guests to feel like it’s their home from home. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages to the property. Please report these as soon as they occur. We would not charge for minor breakages. Accidents happen! however we will charge you for repair or making good if the damage is significant.

Liability:

We do not accept any liability for any damage, or loss to your possessions or vehicles. Please have adequate travel insurance to cover this.

No Smoking:

No smoking throughout. Any person who smokes in the rooms will incur a deep cleaning charge of £50 and be asked to leave the Hotel.

Pets:

Pets are not permitted.

Data:

Any data gathered during the course of a booking may be held on computer. All credit and debit card payments are processed on our secure online Sage Pay portal or a chip and pin onsite terminal and no security data is stored to protect your security and privacy.
We respect your privacy and will never pass your details to a third party or spam you with lots of emails.
We may from time to time email our latest offers and latest news to you when you join our VIP email list. You have options to join after booking and at check in.
